Vertika is a postdoctoral fellow studying mouse models of human infertility alleles, specifically a set of alleles in genes important for crossing over (Mlh1 and Mlh3). These alleles cause elevated aneuploidy and early onset of infertility. She is also studying 3’UTR variants that can impact spermatogenesis gene expression and infertility.
